Schindler's private residence is open to the public several days a week, and no reservations are required. The original structure was designed and built by architect Richard Neutra with a no-interest loan from a Dutch philanthropist. The garden, which he tended, and the house are both open for tours; if you ask, you might be able to peek into the workshop, where he continued building until his death in 2009 at the age of 93.
